# Emissions and Redemption Process

The Redemption Process enables holders to convert their xKICK rewards to $KICK tokens through flexible redemption options, giving users control over their balance of liquidity and reward value. Users may select from three options, each with a unique redemption duration and value.

When opting for shorter redemption durations, users burn a portion of their xKICK to access $KICK sooner.

### ✅ Option 1: 100% Redemption in 3 Months

**Conversion Rate: 1:1 (100%)**

After a 3-month unlock period, 100% of your xKICK balance converts to $KICK at full value, with no reduction.

### ✅ Option 2: 50% Redemption in 2 Months

**Conversion Rate: 1:0.5 (50%)**

At the end of a 2-month unlock period, 50% of your $KICK rewards are converted to $KICK, allowing earlier access with a balanced trade-off.

### ✅ Option 3: 25% Instant Redemption

**Conversion Rate: 1:0.25 (25%)**

Immediately convert 25% of your $KICK for $KICK with no wait, providing the fastest access to liquidity.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.xprotocol.org/x-protocol-litepaper/overview/xardian-nodes/emissions-and-redemption-process.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
