# What is $KICK?

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Update — 30 October 2026**

XProtocol has decided not to proceed with the planned $KICK token launch. As a result, the $KICK token utility previously described on this page no longer applies.

Existing reward arrangements, including xKICK holdings and accumulated rewards, are under review. We are targeting Q2 2027 for the publication of a comprehensive restructuring roadmap.
